S890QL low alloy structural steel chemical composition and size range

EN10025-6 S890QL carbon steel is a high strength low alloy structural steel with good weldability and strength properties. S890QL steel has a chemical composition of C 0.20, Si 0.80, Mn 1.7, P 0.025, S 0.010, Nb 0.06, V 0.12, Ti 0.05, Cu 0.50, Cr 0.30, Ni 0.50, Mo 0.70, B 0.0020, Al 0.015, N 0.015 and CEV 0.45. The mechanical properties of EN10025-6 S890QL steel are yield strength of 890 MPa, tensile strength of 940-1100 MPa and elongation of A5 of 14%.

EN10025-6 S890QL high-strength steel is available in thicknesses of 8-50 mm and widths of up to 3350 mm. S890QL structural steel is used for stress critical components in applications such as bridges, cranes, hydraulic cylinders and other heavy equipment. S890QL structural steel is also a cost-effective option, as it can be used to reduce the cost of construction projects due to its strength and durability.

S890QL low alloy structural steel is usually supplied in the form of plates, sheets, and bars. S890QL steel is often used in combination with other steel grades to create components and structures that have superior strength and durability. The S890QL high-strength steel is heat treated to improve its mechanical properties and is also often coated with a protective layer to protect it from corrosion and wear. Its high strength and corrosion resistance make it an ideal choice for many engineering and construction applications.
