Different between s460q, s460ql and s460ql1 steel materials

Grades S460Q, S460QL and S460QL1 are three different grades of steel materials that have been developed to meet the requirements of different applications. All three materials are high strength quenched and tempered steels, which means they have excellent strength properties as well as good weldability and formability. Each grade has its own set of characteristics, such as carbon content, size and hardness.

S460q structural steel is a quenched and tempered steel material with a minimum yield strength of 460 MPa. It has a high tensile strength of 550-720 MPa, making it suitable for heavy load-bearing applications such as bridges and cranes. It also has good weldability and formability due to its low carbon content.

S460ql alloyed quenched and tempered steel material with a minimum yield strength of 460 MPa. It has higher tensile strength than S460q at 590-770 MPa, making it ideal for use in high stress environments such as offshore structures or mining equipment.

S460Q is the most commonly used grade for structural steel applications due to its high strength-to-weight ratio. It has a carbon content between 0.20% and 0.22%, making it an ideal choice for heavy load-bearing structures. On the other hand, S460QL has a slightly lower carbon content (0.16%) but is still highly durable with excellent weldability properties. Finally, S460QL1 has an even lower carbon content (0.12%).
